Danny started in hospitality at 20 years old, running a promotions company working with bars, restaurants, and nightclubs across South Louisiana. He's been in the industry ever since — helping operators in 100+ venues lower cost of goods, increase profitability, and streamline operations.

He completed his finance degree from LSU in 2006 and put it to work at Merrill Lynch. Hospitality called him back. He earned his MBA in 2012 and built the largest office in the Barmetrix consulting network — starting in Baton Rouge in 2013, expanding to New Orleans in 2015, and by 2019 running more audits monthly than any other office in the system.

Through COVID he helped his clients survive. In 2022 he joined the Barmetrix franchisor organization as a partner, playing a key role in rebuilding and relaunching the business internationally.

Danny earned his CPA license in October 2023. He is a member of the AICPA and the Society of Louisiana CPAs. He continues to own and operate Barmetrix in Louisiana and holds a partnership stake in the global organization.

He built Prime because he kept seeing the same problem — great operators making decisions without a real financial picture. He knew he could fix that.

Senior Accountant
New Orleans or Baton Rouge, LA · Office available in both locations

Own the period close for a portfolio of hospitality clients — beginning to end. Financials delivered each period that are advisory-ready without additional review. This is not a data-entry role. You are the last set of eyes before these numbers go in front of a client.

The Role

We need a senior accountant who owns the close process — end to end. A portfolio of hospitality clients. Financials delivered each period that are advisory-ready without additional review.

This is not a data-entry role. You are the last set of eyes before these numbers go in front of a client. You reconcile accounts, apply judgment on accruals and hospitality-specific line items, and hand off financials the principal can take directly into an advisory meeting.

Who We Need

  • Four to seven years of accounting experience with real ownership of the close output.
  • Hospitality experience. Restaurants, bars, hotels, multi-unit operators. You know how POS systems work, how tips flow, how food and beverage COGS should behave.
  • Fluent in QuickBooks Online. Comfortable integrating and reconciling POS data.
  • A sharp eye for anomalies. You notice when a number doesn't fit the pattern before anyone asks.
  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred, not required.
  • Self-directed. You own your close schedule. You hold yourself accountable to it.
